| Bio: | I am a birthmother in a semi-open adoption. In our case, that means fully disclosed (we have always had each other's names, addresses, phone numbers, place of business, etc), with direct contact between myself and my daughter's parents. We have kept in contact over the years, shared our respective goings on, and life's ups and downs. Most important, I've never had to fear, worry, or wonder. For better or worse, I always knew the broad strokes. The agreement between us all was that when my daughter turned 18, she would be given my contact information, and blessings to reconnect with me. As that date nears, blogging seems as good a distraction as any from the waiting. In addition to ruminations on adoption and reunion, this blog will probably house my thoughts on any number of subjects. I'm nothing if not opinionated. :P | |
